Tanya Edwards

For over fifteen years, Tanya Edwards has been an educator. She holds degrees from Ithaca College and New York University. Before arriving in California, Tanya was a certified New York City Board of Education teacher. Her first permanent position was in the South Bronx. She was hired as an English Language Arts Teacher and Librarian. For almost four years, she worked tirelessly and passionately. She taught, reorganized and revamped a run-down library, and renewed students’ love for books and reading.

For the last few years, she has researched and trained to work with individuals with dyslexia and other behavioral and learning disabilities. She is a certified Barton Tutor. It is Tanya's desire for students to succeed and to reach their highest potential regardless of their diagnosis and/or circumstances.
